August 28th General Meeting---- Thursday, 7PM, Daniel Boone Regional Library, Conference Room A. Please get involved in addressing climate change! Bring your ideas and suggestions. Help flesh out things already on the table! Become a new CCCC member and focus on your special area of interest regarding climate change. Become a liaison to your other organizations or groups of interest.
September 6th & 7th The third annual Eco Art Fest , Environmental Fair and Art Festival on the Missouri River. Saturday 2-10pm.and Sunday 2-8pm. Celebrating local treasures through art, music, and the environment. Food, activities, presentations and info at Cooper's Landing. Please Carpool. $5 suggested donation. Proceeds for Missouri River Cultural Conservancy.
September 13th CCCC will once again be tabling at the Sustainable Living Fair, offering a mini-solar tour as part of the workshop session. There will be 2 guided tour workshops, one featuring passive solar (mid to late morning) and the other featuring active solar (in the afternoon). CCCC will be taking sign-ups for our second annual local and regional solar tour (October 14th) and providing you the latest information on this issue and what you can do to help or get involved.
September 25th Panel Discussion and Film entitled Kilowatt Ours. Free Showing of this Multi-Award Winning Documentary, Kilowatt Ours, is a look at what Americans know and don't know about our energy supply, it's true cost and what we might want to do about it. Discussion will follow. Panelists will include city government officials to be announced soon. This educational event will be held in collaboration with the Daniel Boone Regional Library and will be held in their Friend's Room at 7 PM.
